Sure, all agents must go to real estate school and learn the basics... but what I am talking about when saying "all agents are not created equal" is THE HEART! The core of the human you are interacting with.

There are indeed some really good agents in Horry County whose primary intentions are to serve their clients with the utmost respect and loyalty.
Unfortunately, it is far and few between to reach the upper echelon.

One of the biggest complaints in the real estate industry from both buyers and sellers is their agent is not available when needed, does not return phone calls, has middle men/secretaries to filter their calls, is a total slacker, etc.

I can guarantee this will not be the case if we decide to work together!

It is a fact most agents are in the real estate business only for the money. Sure, agents need to a living, and quite honestly it is well deserved for the countless hours and costs involved to properly market a property for sale. However, if this is the agents main concern, it is my opinion there is a major conflict of interest. The law states as real estate agents, the buyer or sellers best interest is OUR fiduciary responsibility and that we MUST FIRST seek to serve the buyer or sellers interest.

I can guarantee your best interest is my top priority!

Now don't get me wrong, I am not in the business to drive around from house to house, condo to condo showing "lookie loos" and tire kickers every property available. The demand for my services and time are simply too high. I do limit the number of buyer clients I am serving at any given moment to less than 10 in order to devote the time necessary which each client requires. This approach has served me well and my clients love me for it!

My question to you is, "would you rather work with an agent who has just 10 clients, or one with 100 or more? The answer is "obviously obvious"!

Russ Johnson is a South Carolina native, with roots in the upstate. Born in Spartanburg, and a graduate of Winthrop University, Russ has been a disc jockey since the age of 13. Some may recognize Russ from working in top radio and nightclubs across the east coast, including Charlotte, NC, Asheville, NC, Nashville, TN and Greenville, SC. 


Before joining the Oceanfront Guru team, Russ developed a successful online marketing firm, which since 1997 has specialized in helping businesses get their website listings to the top of the search engine results. It is this specialty which ultimately led him to the field of real estate.


"I obtained my Tennessee real estate license in 1999, and after many years of successfully working with online real estate companies, I decided to go "head first" and see if I could take my online skills and apply them to the real world.
